Jim Riley grew up in the Chicago suburbs, where sports have always been a significant part of family life. With his wife, dad, sister, brother, father-in-law, and brothers-in-law all playing at college D1 programs, Jim has been immersed in an athletic environment. As a former college football player, he developed a competitive nature and drive that has since been redirected towards operating and growing businesses.

Jim stared his post-business school career in consulting where he refined his financial engineering through M&A services for pre- and post-acquisition portfolio companies. After his tenure in consulting, Jim transitioned to private equity, gaining transaction and operations experience through working on the execution team and as an operating partner.

Jim and his wife live in Naperville, Illinois. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and his MBA for the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
