Paul Gillette
Stonebriar Capital
Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Paul’s passion for entrepreneurship began early with a lawn care business he ran throughout high school. Instead of closing the business before college, he listed it for sale on Craigslist and received several offers. Though the scale and transaction value were small, this experience left a lasting impression and sparked his deep interest in investing, growing, and exiting companies.
After high school, Paul attended Indiana University, where he earned a BS in Finance from the Kelley School of Business. Outside of coursework, he enjoyed road cycling and trained year-round for the Little 500, a highly competitive intramural 50-mile race, representing his fraternity team.
Following college, Paul moved to New York to begin his professional career. Over the past decade, he has worked in investment banking, private equity, and corporate development. Now, he is launching Stonebriar Capital, his search fund dedicated to acquiring and growing a software or GRC/TICC services company.
Paul and his fiancée, Christi, enjoy active hobbies like tennis and skiing. They spend summers in Southwest Harbor, Maine, on Mount Desert Island. One of their favorite memories is living part-time on Shelter Island during the fall and winter, exploring and enjoying eastern Long Island without the summer crowds.
Paul is excited about the journey ahead with Stonebriar Capital and the opportunity to find, acquire, and grow a successful business over the next decade.
